Your agency recently received a payment from the Heart of Arkansas United Way, which we call a Donor Choice Payment or Designation Payment. Your acceptance of these funds certifies that your organization complies with the Federal Patriot Act.
We get a lot of questions about Designations, and below you'll find some of the most frequently asked! For more information, contact Mollie Palmer.
As a part of the Heart of Arkansas United Way campaign, one or more donors designated their gift to your agency.
While we do not have an automated system that allows designated agencies to pull reports on their designation payments, we can manually pull that report for you on request. Our report will show your donors' names if both the donor and their workplace have released that information to us. To request a report on a designation payment, contact Kim Davidson at kim@heartaruw.org.
Payments are made based on payments received by donors. It is possible that a donor may make a designation pledge to your agency but not fulfill that pledge - most commonly when the donor moves to a new workplace. The payment you receive also reflects our administrative costs to process the designations.
Your acceptance of your designation payment serves to certify that your agency is in compliance with the Federal Patriot Act. Our payments are made via Electronic Funds Transfer; if your banking information changes, please let us know.
