Disaster Response
The United Way periodically is asked to provide funding, in-kind gifts, or volunteer expertise to address disaster relief and recovery issues. In that role we have historically worked closely with emergency service first-responders such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and municipalities.
The United Way will accept contributions for disaster relief and/or recovery purposes for response anywhere in the state of Arkansas, and guarantees that 100% of any contribution will be used on behalf of the community selected by the donor. United Way will distribute funds to disaster relief organizations and/or on behalf of affected individuals as needed or directed by the donor.
Should Arkansas be affected by a New Madrid earthquake, devastating tornado, or other disaster, United Way will be ready to help.
